Care That Starts With You
Pelvic floor symptoms can affect nearly every part of daily life—yet they are often difficult to explain and even harder to discuss. Melissa believes successful treatment begins by listening carefully, understanding what you are experiencing and making sure you feel heard.
Your evaluation is never rushed. Melissa takes time to connect your symptoms with your breathing, core, hips, movement, routines and goals. She explains what she finds in clear language so you understand not only what to do, but why it matters.
Every part of care is guided by your comfort. You remain informed and in control as the plan develops.
“You deserve clear answers, a comfortable experience and a treatment plan that makes sense for your life.”
Why She Founded The Healthy Pelvis
After more than two decades as a physical therapist, Melissa had met too many people who felt frustrated, embarrassed or unsure where to turn for pelvic health concerns. Many had lived with symptoms for months or years before learning that physical therapy could help.
She founded The Healthy Pelvis to create a different kind of experience: private, one-on-one pelvic floor physical therapy with enough time to listen, educate and build treatment around the whole person.
By bringing care directly into the home, Melissa can focus entirely on you—without a crowded waiting room, competing appointments or the pressure of a quick clinic visit.
Thoughtful • Collaborative • Practical
Your treatment may include education, movement, exercise, hands-on techniques and practical strategies for everyday life. The exact plan is shaped by what your body needs and what matters most to you.
Your symptoms, history, concerns and goals guide the evaluation from the very beginning.
You learn what may be contributing to your symptoms and how each part of treatment can help.
Care considers the pelvic floor along with breathing, core strength, hips, mobility and movement.
Your plan is realistic, focused and designed to support the activities you want to return to.
Experience & Specialized Training
Melissa’s decades of physical therapy experience give her a strong foundation for understanding how pain, strength, mobility and movement affect the whole person. Her specialized pelvic health training allows her to apply that foundation to bladder, bowel, pelvic pain, pregnancy, postpartum and post-surgical concerns.
She continues to pursue pelvic health education so treatment reflects current clinical knowledge while remaining grounded in your individual needs, healing stage and comfort level.
Melissa’s role is not simply to hand you exercises. It is to help you understand your body, choose the right starting point and progress with purpose.

Beyond the Clinic
Melissa lives in Elmhurst with her husband and two children. As a wife, mother and business owner, she understands how difficult it can be to prioritize your health while balancing work, family and everyday responsibilities.
That perspective shapes the way she treats. Plans need to be effective, but they also need to be realistic enough to use on a busy morning, during a workday or while caring for a family.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys staying active, spending time with her family and being involved in the local community. Max, the family’s Labradoodle, is often nearby while she plans new ways to support patients through The Healthy Pelvis.
